Another good aspect is the philosofical discussion present, teaching too critical reasoning and to try to see hidden consequences of some theories. Not mechanicd you really want to have unless someone makes you get it at some time or other.

Another issue I've heard about is that even though the exercises are excellent, no solutions or answers manual is published, so it can be difficult to figure out whether your result is correct.
Altogether, though, this is a really excellent text on mechanics, albeit a daunting one for beginners. I very much enjoy the kleppneer every time I teach freshman mechanics. However, I gotta recommend the appendix at the end of this book about satellite orbits and the minimum energy path to boost a satellite into nearly circular orbit. I just saw the movie, Gravity.
